Photography Dark Room - Beginners


In this course you will learn the basics of how a wet dark room works. You will begin by experimenting with photograms and quickly move on to processing your own film. Once this film is processed you will be taught the basics of enlarging to create a proper black and white photograph. The course is designed to deliver you to a point at which you are comfortable in a darkroom and once finished can explore any darkroom independently.

Course will include:

  • Health & safety in the darkroom
  • Photograms
  • Loading a camera & shooting a film
  • Processing a film
  • Printing contact sheets
  • Enlarging a negative
  • Producing a final print

You will need to have and be able to operate your own, fully working 35mm
film camera (SLR, Rangefinder or compact, point-and-shoot camera).

Additional Info: You will need to know how to use your own 35mm film camera.
