About the course

This course is an introduction to the basic principles of video editing. You will explore how to use the software Premiere Pro to edit footage and master the tools and techniques involved in the practice.

The course will include:

  • Learning how to create projects and import footage appropriately
  • Introduction to the basic interface and tools within the software
  • Learning how to carry out editing techniques
  • Introduction to the language of film editing – what makes a good cut?
  • Learning how to import and edit sound and still images
  • Learning how to apply video effects and transitions
  • Learning how to create titles
  • Introduction to more advanced key framing and animation
  • Introduction to colour correction and grading
  • Introduction to more advanced visual effects
  • Learning how to export final videos.

On completion of this course you will be able to create near professional edited videos for a variety of purposes.
