Art Summer School

This summer school will teach you what to look for in a photograph to turn it into a successful drawing or painting.

This course will look at a variety of concepts and processes and give you a better understanding of how to unlock your creative potential when working from photographic imagery. You will learn how to “visually read” a photograph by looking at: composition, editing, tone, temperature and colour.

During the course you will cover:

The basic materials you will need on the course will be provided and advice on different options for further materials and support you may need during the week will be given.Colour – choosing the right hue, tone and chroma
