PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) at City College Norwich is a specialist provision for adult learners who may have autistic spectrum disorder, profound and multiple learning difficulties, communication difficulties, a history of behaviours that can be challenging, physical disabilities or visual/hearing impairments. The course offers individual support as part Supported Learning at City College Norwich’s main campus on Ipswich Road enabling students to feel safe and secure in a mainstream environment.

This year half of the group including staff are going away for a weeks residential to the Thomas Centre in Lincolnshire, whilst those not attending will be experiencing a week of activities back at the College campus. The Thomas Centre is an amazing residential centre offering fantastic opportunities in a rural setting for students with Profound and multiple learning Difficulties.  For more information about this amazing place please visit

Staff members Kelly Comper, Jamie Weavers and Jamie Rush have all entered the Tough Mudder race in May in Grantham to raise funds for the PMLD residential trip and other activities.

The Tough Mudder is a gruelling obstacle course, on 21st May 2016, which endures 10 miles of Obstacles including electric shocks as well as tear gas tunnels. for more information on what the team will have to endure please visit

Our students work hard every single day and gain valuable life experience. We want to be able to reward them by giving them a week to remember by raising as much money as possible.

We would be extremely thankful for any donation given to help give the students an amazing experience.
